The Sangiovese DOC BIO by Tenuta Franzona is produced following traditional and careful methods.
The organic grapes are harvested manually and mechanically in September to ensure ideal ripeness.
In the cellar, they undergo pressing and destemming, followed by fermentation in stainless steel and a maceration of 8-10 days to extract color and character.
The refinement continues in stainless steel and glass-lined cement, preserving the original qualities of the Sangiovese.
The Sangiovese DOC BIO vineyard of Tenuta Franzona located on the fertile hills of Imola, in the Tre Monti area, 125 meters above sea level.
The soil, clayey and of medium consistency, is ideal for balanced drainage and water retention, crucial for the optimal development of the vine.
The vineyard’s north-south orientation guarantees maximum exposure to the sun, essential for uniform ripening of the bunches, fundamental for the distinctive character of the Sangiovese grown in these lands.
