Tenuta Franzona’s Sangiovese Superiore DOC BIO is a red wine with a remarkable structure, born from the hills of Imola. With an intense, almost impenetrable red color, it reveals enveloping aromas of pulpy fruit to the nose. On the palate, it stands out for its great structure, length and intensity. Produced from vines planted between 1968 and ’73, this wine represents the excellence of the Romagna tradition. Perfect as a meditation wine, it pairs splendidly with red meats, game and grilled meats. Its richness also makes it ideal with cured meats and aged cheeses, enhancing every meal.

Description

The Sangiovese Superiore DOC BIO from Tenuta Franzona is the result of meticulous winemaking.

From the organic grapes harvested manually in autumn, we proceed with pressing and destemming.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by maceration for 15-20 days to extract colour and taini.

After fermentation, the wine matures in steel and glass-lined cement, with further refinement in second- and third-use medium-toasted barriques, which enriches the aromatic profile and gives elegance.
