The Pignoletto Frizzante DOC BIO by Tenuta Franzona is produced using an accurate and traditional winemaking method.
After the harvest of the Grechetto Gentile grapes, both manual and mechanical, the pressing and destemming follows. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature, preserving the aromas of the vine.
The sparkling process is carried out using the Charmat method, using selected yeasts to reach a pressure of 2.5 bar.
Finally, the wine matures in the bottle for three months, maintaining its effervescence and freshness.
The Grechetto Gentile vineyard of Tenuta Franzona located on the hills of Imola, in the Tre Monti area, 125 meters above sea level.
The soil, predominantly clayey, guarantees a balance between drainage and water retention, favorable for the vine.
The vineyard’s north-south orientation optimizes exposure to the sun, essential for optimal ripening of the grapes.
The local microclimate and the mineral composition of the soil contribute to the production of a high-quality Grechetto Gentile.
