Description

Our Albana comes from strains planted from 1973 to 1980 to date in organic farming. The grapes are harvested manually from the plant towards the second / third week of September. The age of this vineyard guarantees the best ratio between total acidity and alcohol.

Vinification method

Albana grapes are harvested manually to select the best bunches. Once they arrive in the cellar, they are crushed and de-stemmed with subsequent soft pressing. Fermentation is then started in temperature-controlled tanks (10-12 ° C). Finally, it is aged in stainless steel and vitrified concrete tanks to finish the refinement in the bottle for 2/3 months.

Characteristics of the terrain

Our Albana vineyard is located on the hills of Imola, in the province of Bologna, in the Tre Monti area.

It is a hilly vineyard that grows 125 meters above sea level, with a medium-textured clayey soil, typical of our area. The vineyard is developed maintaining an orientation from north to south to maximize the exposure of the bunches to the sun. It is an ideal soil for the cultivation of the Albana vine which will give life to fresh wines full of extract.

Gastronomic combinations

Our Albana is a straw yellow wine that goes perfectly when tasted with dishes based on white meats, gratinated pasta and risotto.

Ideal if tasted in combination with fish-based first courses.
